CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES

CRS Ghana partners with local communities to alleviate poverty through a holistic approach. We focus on improving child and maternal health, expanding access to clean water and sanitation, increasing agricultural productivity, and strengthening community-based savings and lending.

Our health initiatives empower local leaders to promote positive maternal and child health practices. In agriculture, we support yam farmers with improved varieties and techniques, creating opportunities as seed suppliers and throughout the value chain.

What We Do
✦We support communities and health facilities with emergency transport systems, medical supplies, and staff trainings.
✦We mobilize support for pregnant women and mothers of newborns to increase the child survival rate.
✦We work to increase ownership and usage of long-lasting insecticidal mosquito nets.
✦We also work to improve postharvest storage systems with sweet potato farmers.
✦We introduce farmers to new technologies that are appropriate to their needs, while
✦We help farmers save and access credit to maximize their profits.
