ALLIANCE OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGTHS (ARHR)

The Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights (ARHR) is a Ghanaian NGO promoting rights-based reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health (RMNCAH). This membership-based organization, comprising over 25 NGOs and CBOs, operates across Ghana's 16 regions. A Secretariat coordinates member activities, overseen by an Advisory Board.

What We Do
✦Tracking Ghana’s realization of the health MDGs 4, 5 & 6.
✦Building successful partnerships with influential NGOs to address reproductive health issues in ✦Ghana in areas including unsafe abortions, family planning and the establishment of youth-friendly health centers across Ghana
✦Enabling an environment for SRH issues to be discussed
✦Engaging Parliamentarians to be ambassadors and champions of SRH issues.
✦Monitoring the use of public funds and resources in the health sectors as well as provisions to benefit the underprivileged under the National Insurance Health Scheme (NHIS)
✦Building the capacity of members and other organizations by supporting, implementing, monitoring projects with a rights-based approach.
✦We advocate for strengthened primary health care systems and financing to ensure that women, children, and adolescents can access the health care they need
