As a leading international service organization of the United States, the Peace Corps sends Americans abroad to address the most critical needs of communities around the world. Peace Corps Volunteers work at the grassroots level, striving to create sustainable change that endures long after their service concludes. Simultaneously, they develop into global citizens and serve as representatives of their country.

Ghana has benefited from the service of over 5,000 Peace Corps Volunteers, who have contributed their skills and dedication in the fields of Education, Health, Environment, Small Enterprise Development, and Agriculture.

What We Do
✦Through the Small Project Assistance (SPA) Program to build capacity and empower local communities to lead in their own development.
✦The Peace Corps' STOMP program works in close collaboration with the President’s Malaria Initiative. Volunteers collaborate with local communities in 18 countries to eliminate malaria by carrying out malaria prevention, diagnosis, and treatment education campaigns.
✦Global Food Security and Feed the Future
✦The Blue Pacific Youth Initiative (BPYI) is a network of activities reinforcing Pacific youths’ role as caretakers of their ocean continent and home.
✦Peace Corps Volunteers continue to implement the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to realize the vision of an AIDS-free generation.
