Located 30 kilometers north of Wenchi in Ghana's Bono region, the Nchiraa Waterfalls were discovered in the early 2000s by a hunter named Kofi Asiama. The falls are nestled between the mountains of the Nchiraa settlement and are accessible via a rocky and challenging footpath, making it an ideal spot for hiking enthusiasts.
In addition to the falls, the area offers other natural and cultural attractions, including the Wurobo Ancestral Cave, believed to be the original dwelling place of the Nchiraa people. The community is also home to the Kukuro shrine, which is said to have the power to heal the sick, help infertile women, and protect against witchcraft.
