WLI AGOOMATSA WATERFALLS

Located 20 kilometers from Hohoe in the Volta Region, Wli Waterfalls is the highest waterfall in Ghana and the tallest in West Africa. Known locally as Agoomatsa Waterfalls, which means "Allow Me to Flow," the falls have both a lower and an upper section.

According to local legend, the falls were discovered by a group of hunters who mistook the sound of the cascading water for a talking drum. The waterfalls are part of the Agumatsa Wildlife Sanctuary, a forest that is home to a large colony of fruit bats, butterflies, birds, monkeys, and baboons.
